Hey great job Monte,I always enjoy your posts and come to find out I've been enjoying one of your uploads as well. Sweet! The RFK has been rockin w/ me for a while.
In your pic, the mic rig w/ the umbrela, is the middle mic so your not so omni directional and get larger or fuller sound ?
Also missed the thread on the steel guitar convention so I'll ask now, Were the Flying Burrito Bros ever a taper friendly band an if so do you know of any lossless torrents uploaded?
I'm afriad I've worn my albums out and the Anthology on CD
has been played a zillon times.

That's SkyDawg's photobucket pic of those mics, above. That 1990 image is part of a huge GD photo collection. Here's the GD photo torrent. The mic I used to tape at RFK Stadium in 1973 was the sweet-sounding Sony ECM-99. It's a single-point stereo mic.

Before getting sennheisers in the mid 80s, used one of these, but it was for recording animal sounds...
